BALANCE AND CHECK POLICY AT WORLD ACADEMY

TESTS / ASSESSMENTS AND EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

At World Academy we have a policy for conducting regular assessments to keep a record of a child’s learning and achievements. The records indicate clearly where a child is lacking or how he /she can achieve better results.

TEST AND ASSESSMENTS

Children up till Class 3 will have regular tests in all the subjects.

In Class 3, 4 and Class 5 there will be examinations and formal tests.

Examinations will be held in English, Mathematics, Urdu and Science

There will be two (2) Examinations in an academic year:
December: Mid Term
May: End of the Term Examinations

HOME WORK

The basic object of assigning home work to the students is to increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students.

LESSON AND HOME WORK DIARIES

Every student will be issued a home work diary at the beginning of the academic term. The home work diary is dual purposed; it serves as a schedule for daily work and special instructions/ notices. The parent must sign the home work diary on a daily basis; it forms for both the school and the parent as a means of healthy communication.

MONITORING HOME WORK

Homework is important as it reinforces learning and methodology and home work monitoring by parents is extremely vital.

CORRECTION POLICY

Positive correction is an encouragement and negative marking discourages. It is our policy at World Academy that we award marks for the positive achievements yet deduction of marks is also imperative. Marks are awarded for accuracy of language, punctuations, spellings coherent legible writing.
