COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS
PARENTS VS SCHOOL INTERACTION
The school is an integral part of the child’s life and the parent facilitates it, therefore it is imperative that the parent plays an active role in the school and school activities. At World Academy we would like the parents to form an interactive parent body The parent’s body will comprise of parent coordinators who will arrange extra curricular activities and events. It is vital for you as a parent to know who your child interacts with. The parent body coordinators will give the parents a chance to interact with other parent/ children.
PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS
Parent- teacher meetings will be held in:

The specified dates and timing will be notified to the children.
If a parent needs to discuss an issue with a teacher or has any queries regarding any other matter, you are more than welcome to make an appointment and the meeting will be arranged.
APPOINTMENTS
Parents are requested to kindly send in a hand written note if they want to meet the class teacher or a specific member of the faculty. On the spur meetings are not possible as the teachers have a busy schedule and interruptions during the class time are not allowed. If the matter is serious and requires immediate attention please inform the office or the supervisory teacher who will look into the matter and arrange the meeting with the concerned teacher. We are committed to be working as a unified force and your contribution as a parent in invaluable.
HOME WORK
The basic object of assigning home work to the students is to increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students.
Home work also reinforces what students have already learnt; and to prepare them for upcoming lessons or to integrate their abilities.
Home work also provides an opportunity for the parents to participate in their children’s education.
HOME WORK STRATEGIES
Effective study skills can help to speed up the completion of homework, giving a student more free time. Students with a positive attitude towards homework, who enjoy it and work on it enthusiastically generally complete their homework faster than if they view their home work negatively,
Minimizing distractions by studying in a quiet room and leaving the TV off etc make it easier to concentrate and get home work done faster.
Set schedules at an appropriate time to maintain home work consistency.
HOME WORK CLUB
Please do not encourage private tutoring. Our tutorials will facilitate students tackle their homework issues. Help us to help yourselves.

MONITORING HOME WORK
Homework is important as it reinforces learning and methodology and home work monitoring by parents is extremely vital.
- Untidy careless and incomplete home work is an indication of lack of effort and time mismanagement.
- Repeated failure or excuses to present the home work or projects will be dealt with strictly, taking it as home work not done.
- If it is noted that a child is having difficulties in completion of home work due to the lack of understanding, the teacher will address the issue.
